Want to contribute an article to Tale of 2 Backpackers?
Tale of 2 Backpackers is about experiential travel and unique experiences that we encounter while travelling across the world. We love to travel, meet new people, try new cuisines and have profound interest in the culture, history and heritage of a place. And we both love to trek.
If you have any interesting stories to share about the culture and people of a place or a unique festival, please submit your article to us. We also accept articles on city guides, food guides, art and architecture. And if you have some incredible trekking experience, we will be happy to share it here. We are always looking out for posts that provide unique and useful perspective over a particular city or region. Feel free to contribute on any topic about the region.
A few things to know before submitting Guest Post
Content: Article should be minimum 1200 words in length and should cover the topic in detail. Make sure the story is relevant to the readers and contains enough useful information. We really want our readers to benefit from the contents.
Start with a brief set up that catches the interest of the reader. Organize the content in segments. Short paragraphs and headings within the article make up for a better read. Please be original in your article.
Headline: Be sure to include a headline or post title.
Credit: We respect individual work. If your story is derivative of someone else’s work, please do give them the credit. The same applies for the images as well.
Images: It would be great to include images to illustrate your story. We would require at least six good quality images for your story. But please include your own images, photography or videography that you have rights to use or that are available under creative commons license. Be sure to include image credits and links (for us to double check). Do not include images to which you have not secured the rights.
Editing: We do reserve the rights to edit the article including changes in the text, subheadings and headline in order to improve the readability. We would give the guest authors a chance to review our edits before posting when possible, but we retain final editorial control. Relevant links may be added at the time of publishing or later.
Payment: We do not pay for writing guest posts.
Self-promotion: Authors can link back to their own personal blog posts. Any other backlinks within the post are subject to our consideration.

Advertising / Vendor Sponsored Posts
If you’re a company looking to write about a problem for which your company offers a solution; or you have a website that sells or recommends products or services; or you represent and contact us on behalf of a company / business website, your story will qualify as advertising / sponsored post rather than a guest post. You’ll probably be asked to pay a processing fee covering the effort and costs with proofreading / editing / formatting your article, buying / editing / preparing the photo(s) for publishing, preparing the author info (bio, photo, links), final check and publishing your article.
