Love is a feeling that transcends all. Love makes us do wonders. But where do we find it? Is it in the eyes of our beloved? Or is it just holding the hands of our dear one that makes you feel loved? Or is it in the green mountains or the blue seas and the yellow sands. For travel crazy couples like us, we find our happiness on the road, in the realms of nature or in the thrill of an adventure. With the Valentines Day just around the corner, here’s a list of places to visit in Valentines Day – 14 romantic destinations for your romantic heart. But of course, you can visit these places anytime. Whoever needs a reason to celebrate love? Who needs a reason to travel?
Although St. Valentine did not only spoke of romantic love; it is only after Chaucer’s poetry in the 14th Century that Valentine’s Day got the romantic connotation. Interestingly, for Bengalis, Saraswati Puja is the eternal Valentines day. As kids, we knew about Saraswati Puja where girls used to wear saris and go to school. Young boys and girls would eye each other coyly. It used to be days of fun. Only when we were in high school, we came to know of Valentines Day. Another interesting thing is that Saraswati Puja and Valentines Day almost fall on the same month within a few days gap.
Before I start, let me tell you that our first Valentine’s Day was celebrated way back in 2006 at Rabindra Sarobar Lake in Kolkata!
